Travis Kerns

Dr. Kerns was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, the birthplace of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, around roads named Boyce, Broadus, Williams, and Manly. He joined the Boyce College faculty in January 2007, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the areas of Christian apologetics, world religions, and new religious movements. His area of expertise is centered in the discipline of new religious movements, especially The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dr. Kerns is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society, the Evangelical Philosophical Society, and the Society for Mormon Philosophy and Theology. His desire is to lead young men and women to love evangelism and discipleship through the study and practice of apologetics.
He and his wife, Staci, have one son, Jeremiah. Dr. Kerns is actively involved in the local athletic community as a member of the Bike Clicks / Team Louisville Bicycle Racing Team.
