Amy Crider

Assistant Professor of English
B.A., Miami University; M.A., Miami University; Ed.D., The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Crider has served as Writing Center Coordinator for Southern Seminary and Boyce College and as a Boyce writing instructor since 2011. Prior to coming to Boyce, she taught adjunctively at several colleges and universities including the University of Northern Colorado, Aimes Community College, Westmont College, Southwest Baptist University, and Liberty University. She has also designed several online composition courses.
Her research focuses on biblically-rooted writing pedagogies and curriculum design for English composition. In addition to extensive experience as a professional editor, Crider has contributed to an article in Perichoresis, church discipleship curricula, and public affairs publications at Christian colleges.
She is married to Joe Crider who serves as a professor in the Department of Biblical Worship at Southern. They have four adult children.
