New Financial Aid Application

The Financial Aid Office will implement a new financial aid application for the 2011-2012 academic year, which is now available for Boyce College students to complete. To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student at the Louisville campus and must be in good academic standing. Applicants should expect to reference their 2010 tax return in order to complete the application and may be asked to provide parental financial data. A fee of $25 is required in order to submit the Financial Aid Profile, which will be refunded to the student in the form of a $25 tuition credit upon enrollment. The application deadline for continuing students is June 1.

Boyce General Scholarship

The Financial Aid Office is happy to announce that general scholarship awards for Boyce College students have increased for the 2010-2011 academic year. Boyce students who have not yet applied for financial aid are encouraged to do so for the spring 2011 semester. The general scholarship is based on financial need and awards range from $250-$600 per semester. The 2010-2011 application for financial aid is available online at https://finaid.sbts.edu To qualify, students must be full-time, on-campus students enrolled in an undergraduate degree program. The deadline to apply is Jan. 1, 2011. Questions can be directed to Financial Aid at financialaid@sbts.edu or (502) 897-4206.

Winter and Spring Registration

Registration will open for the Boyce winter and spring terms on October 31. Students are strongly encouraged to register for classes before you leave for the winter break. You can access your course registration and track your degree progress on e-campus. Also, if you need financial assistance or have any questions about financial aid, please contact the Financial Aid office prior to leaving for break.

D3 Conference

Boyce College will be hosting a youth camp this summer that is unlike anything you have seen before. It is called “D3: Leadership, Worldview, Missions.” Here’s a brief description:

“The four-day, three-night D3 Youth Conference is a summer experience full of learning and growing opportunities for students following Christ. Designed to accelerate high school students’ understanding of leadership, worldview and missions, D3 students will learn from the country’s strongest theologians, church executives and worship leaders while on the campus of Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky.”

Featured speakers include R. Albert Mohler and Russell Moore. Musical worship will be led by Josh Wilson. Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist Flame will also be performing.

Registration is now open, so please let your pastor or youth leader know about this conference. This is one you won’t want your students to miss!

Important information about student parking

Every student who has a vehicle is required to have a parking permit. You may pick up permit forms at the Office of Safety and Security located on the ground floor of the McCall Sesquicentennial Pavilion, Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Just complete the form, return it to Security, and your permit will be mailed to you. Every student must have a new parking permit this year.

Students are required to park in their assigned areas only. Commuters may not park in any lot adjacent to Carver or Rankin. Students also may not park in the red and blue spaces reserved for Seminary employees. The two rows near the Sodexho equipment shed are also “no parking” zones for students.
