Kevin DeYoung preached to the students of Boyce College last week, and it was outstanding. His text was Mark 3:7-19, and his topic was “Defining Discipleship Down.” The title is a riff on Daniel Patrick Moynihan’s 1993 article “Defining Deviancy Down.” This is a must-listen. The Shield is a student multi-functional ID card (link) that remains valid during the term of registration.
Each student must carry the Shield card while on campus, and present it when requesting services from any office. ID photographs comply with the standard for decorum and dress.
To obtain a Shield Card, go to the Office of Campus Safety and Security. We’ll be taking your picture, so male students must wear a collared shirt. You may not wear caps, t-shirts or facial jewelry. Spouses and dependents may obtain cards after entering the necessary data into the Shield ID family registration form.
