- Kevin DeYoung – Defining Discipleship Down
- by Denny Burk – April 12, 2010
Kevin DeYoung preached to the students of Boyce College last week, and it was outstanding. His text was Mark 3:7-19, and his topic was “Defining Discipleship Down.” The title is a riff on Daniel Patrick Moynihan’s 1993 article “Defining Deviancy Down.” This is a must-listen. Have you ever thought about all of the questions that need to be answered about college? From tuition to classes, parking to recreation, and meal plans to financial aid, there are tons of questions!
If you are considering a Bible college, more questions pop up related to the call to ministry. The Admissions Office at Boyce College hopes to minister to you and your family in this important time. Let us answer your questions and help you along.
One of the best ways we can help is by inviting you to come and visit the campus. This will give you the best chance to see what Boyce is all about. Seeing the campus and meeting the professors, staff and students allows you to see what you can expect as a student. Being around many other young adults who are pursuing the same callings in life makes for a very exciting sense of fellowship and community on our campus.
Scheduling a Personal Campus Visit
Personal campus visits begin Monday through Friday at 12:30 p.m. (ET).
We gladly offer up to two nights of lodging and meals for prospective students and their immediate family. During your visit, you will have a lunch visit with one of our student ambassadors who can give you helpful information on a wide variety of topics from a student’s perspective.
Immediately following the lunch, at 1:30 p.m. (ET), you will tour our beautiful campus. There will also be opportunity to meet professors in your major area of study.
We request a two-week notice so that we can be prepared for your arrival. If you can’t do that, we are still glad to have you, though the shortened time may not allow us to prepare for you how we would like. We will gladly provide lodging for you and your immediate family. Additional friends are always welcome, though housing charges may apply. We do ask that if you choose to visit Boyce, you participate in the scheduled activities. Chapel services are Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00am. Your Visit will only be enhanced by experiencing seminary life as one of our students
