Congratulations, you’ve been accepted!

Whether you’re a freshman or transfer, single or married, on-campus or commuter, here’s a roadmap for your transition to Boyce. We are eagerly awaiting your arrival, so let us know how we can help smooth the way.

New Student Checklist

Use our New Student Checklist as a month-by-month guide to prepare for your first semester at Boyce.

New Student Orientation

All new students are invited to join us for orientation. For spring students, registration for orientation is now open! See link below for registration.

These two days will be packed with informational seminars, interactive events, new friendships and a worshipful commissioning service. Register to attend, preview the schedule and contact Student Life with any questions (502-897-4227 or See below for information about bringing guests.

*Please note that dorm move-in is included in the orientation schedule. After check-in, students will have until 1pm to move their items into their dorm (with help from us!) and get settled.

**Dual enrollment students are encouraged to attend the first day of orientation, and will receive an alternate orientation schedule from the office of Dual Enrollment.

For Fall 2017 students, orientation information will be posted in coming months!

Course Registration and Academic Advising

Set your academic schedule with help from our Academic Counseling site. Here you’ll find information about registration, courses to take, class offerings in upcoming semesters, and more. For general questions about the registration process, contact Academic Records at 502-897-4209 or For general questions about course selection, contact the Boyce Advising office at 502-897-4502 or For major-specific questions, check the section devoted to your major on the Academic Counseling site or contact your Department Coordinator.

Housing and Roommates

We believe the dorm room is just as much a training ground as the classroom. The Housing Office can answer all your housing questions: dorm and apartment options, pricing, timelines, roommates and much more. Contact Housing at or 502-897-4203.

Commuters have unique opportunities, needs, and experiences. Check out these Boyce commuter tips that will help you navigate your Boyce commuter experience. You can also get a feel for Louisville before you arrive. Contact Boyce Student Life with questions (502-897-4227).

Transfers and Transcripts

Transfer students bring experience (and course credit) to Boyce. Check out this information for transfers, including how to transfer course credit to Boyce College.

Parents and Families

We’re always delighted to meet the parents and families of our new students. Families are welcome to attend the first day of orientation. Preview the schedule for descriptions of each event. More details for family involvement are below.

Orientation Registration for Families: Students attending orientation should register their family members’ attendance by listing the number of guests on the registration form. If the number changes or you don’t know how many are registered, just let us know at or 502-897-4227.

Saying Goodbye: Families will have a special opportunity to pray for your students and say goodbye near the end of the Commissioning Service on Friday evening. After the Commissioning Service students will enjoy the student-only Hangout on the J-Bowl. Saturday’s events are student-only so that new students can begin operating independently, meeting new friends, asking their own questions and taking ownership of their new life on campus.

Meals: Friday’s breakfast and lunch are on your own, but Friday’s dinner is provided as we eat together with faculty, staff, student leaders, new students and visiting families. For breakfast you’re welcome to visit our Founders’ Cafe or Pioneer Dining Center, both located in the Honeycutt Campus Center. For lunch, you can also check out one of the various food trucks parked on the Mullins Courtyard.  If you’d rather get off-campus and experience a local favorite, our students leaders will have the inside scoop about their citywide favorites. Our concierge is also available in the Pavilion with recommendations and maps.

Accommodations: Families may reserve rooms at our full-service Legacy Hotel for convenient lodging on campus. Discounts are available for family members of students. Call 502-736-0600 or email

Local Churches

God has graciously blessed Louisville with plenty of solid churches — long-standing churches, revitalized churches, freshly planted churches, multi-campus churches, and small community churches. Boyce College doesn’t maintain a list of “recommended churches,” but you won’t be lacking for recommendations. Our faculty, staff and students love their churches and will share, invite, and recommend freely.

Local Employment

For on-campus jobs, check out the current SBTS job openings along with the SBTS employment application. For off-campus jobs, Human Resources publishes a weekly “Student Employment Bulletin” listing current off-campus job opportunities along with a categorized list of local employers. Access this bulletin at with your student username and password. For ministry positions, the office of Ministry Connections helps students and alumni connect with churches and ministries (502-897-4682, Create your own account, including a resumé, and search through available positions. Finally, the annual Job Fair is held on-campus each August. Students can interact with up to 40 local employers seeking to fill full-time and part-time positions.
